It is good to be back!

It is great to be back after surgery and a long recovery!!  Imagine how excited I was this week to find these photos in my email!  The editor had asked me for a hat months ago.  I wasn't really too sure how these things work, so I didn't tell people, except my family, and now here it is!!  The feature article in Pregnancy and Newborn Magazine's October 2010 issue.  THIS LITTLE DARLING IS WEARING MY HAT!!!!

I also found these adorable photos of a  gorgeous little girl from Greece who is wearing my dress and playing in the adorable play porch her mommy has made for her!  I so appreciate getting to see children and babies actually wearing my creations!

HAPPY NEW YEAR

It has been a beautiful, magical Christmas season here, starting with the snow before Christmas! Snow seems to be magical for me, and definitely for Bowser, our angel-dog. I loved knitting hats and fingerless gloves and the cowl neck scarves while curled up by the tree, watching snow. Today is the 12th Day of Christmas, so I wanted to share these images before saying good bye to it, and to wish you all a happy new year, new decade! I am really looking forward to it! One of my new goals is to blog several times each week and to be able to exchange conversations with people about bloggy things! I hope you'll feel free to leave your comments throughout the year.

The colors of winter!

I love the giant chartreuse fig leaves with snow!

snow is gone, but I must share the incredible beauty of our rare sites with you!

That Glorious Autumn Glow

This weekend really brought autumn to us here!.....its colors, the smells, and my favorite, the long low lighting! I really wanted to get out in it for awhile, even if it meant leaving my knitting. I was privileged to have my daughter and her friend join me for a bit to take some pictures. I was struck by not only the reds, orange and gold we expect on the fall leaves, but by the deep plum in the shadows of the leaves! and the many shades of greens!

Hats for the wee ones
